Meet Recap

The Rockford Christian girls cross country team took the First to the Finish Invitational hosted on the historic Detweiller Park in Peoria, IL this past Saturday, taking a seventh place finish in a field of 58 teams. This was one of the programs top performances at this meet all time. Of the eleven girls running, nine had PRs, including freshman Madison Franseen’s 18:41 school record.

Keep your eyes open for the return of senior Elise Combs in the upcoming weeks as well. Combs, recovering from a fractured leg over the summer, has been increasing her mileage and making a comeback for a varsity spot later this season.

The RCXC girls will run this week in their first ever Black vs. Blue Intersquad meet. The next formal competition will be at ACC’s Charger Classic on Saturday September 26.
